Here is another drink I threw together for
TDN Europe, calling for drinks using an ingredient from Europe. It's a play on my
Don Sangria, subbing some European Jameson for the decidedly New World tequila, and also adding an Italian amaro for some added richness. For what it's worth, I prefer the original Don Sangria, but if prefer Irish Whiskey to tequila, this might be more your cup of tea.
Sancho Potato
- 1½ oz Jameson Irish Whiskey
- 1½ oz fino sherry
- ½ oz aperol
- ¼ oz Ramazzotti Amaro
- 1 oz lemon juice
- ¾ orange juice
- ½ oz cinnamon syrup
- 2 dashes Bitter Truth grapefruit bitters
Shake and strain over fresh rocks
